How to Pick The Right Contractor to Build Your House

Building a new home is one of the most significant investments you’ll make in your lifetime, and it’s essential to make the right decisions throughout the process to ensure that your dream home becomes a reality. With so much at stake, it’s crucial to take your time and choose the right contractor.

So how do you pick the right one? Here are some tips that can help:

Check Their Credentials

Firstly, make sure the contractor you’re considering is licensed, bonded, and insured. This can ensure that they have met the minimum safety and quality standards required by your state or government.

Checking their credentials can also help you avoid scams and unprofessional contractors. This shows that they take their work seriously and are committed to providing quality workmanship

Ask For References

Ask for references from the contractor, which can be a great way to learn about their work history and reputation. Get in touch with previous clients and ask them about their experience working with the contractor. Were they happy with the quality of work, communication skills, and project competition time? These questions can give you a good idea about the reliability and expertise of the contractor.

Check Their Availability

Check if the contractor is available for the entire duration of your project. Ask them about their current workload and make sure they can commit to your project timeline. This ensures that the contractor can dedicate enough time and resources to your project and can avoid delays or postponements.

Evaluate Their Communication Skills

Effective communication is key when working with a contractor. It’s important that the contractor is responsive to your questions and that they keep you informed throughout the entire project.

A good contractor should be able to explain the construction and answer any questions you may have. In conclusion, choosing the right contractor for your new home build requires careful consideration.

Make sure you check their credentials, ask for references, look at their portfolio, check their availability and evaluate their communication skills. By following these steps, you can find a reliable and experienced contractor who can bring your vision for your new home to life.

Understanding Home Renovation Costs

Home renovations can be a great way to improve the value of your home, make it more comfortable and functional, or simply give it a fresh new look. However, before you start planning your renovation, it’s important to have a good understanding of the costs involved.

The cost of a home renovation can vary widely depending on the size and scope of the project, the materials you choose, and the labour costs in your area. However, as a general rule of thumb, you can expect to spend between 10% and 30% of the value of your home on a renovation.

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of your home renovation:

Estimating The Cost of a Kitchen Remodel

If you’re thinking about remodelling your kitchen, it’s important to get an accurate estimate of the cost before you start making any decisions. The best way to do this is to get quotes from several different contractors.

When getting quotes, be sure to ask about the following:

Once you have a few quotes, you can compare them and choose the one that best meets your
needs and budget.

Budgeting for a Bathroom Renovation

Bathroom renovations are another popular home improvement project. As with kitchen renovations, it’s important to get an accurate estimate of the cost before you start making any decisions.

The following factors can affect the cost of a bathroom renovation:

To get an accurate estimate of the cost of your bathroom renovation, get quotes from several different contractors. Be sure to ask about the scope of work, the materials that will be used, and the labour costs.

How To Save Money On Home Renovations

Home renovation costs vary according to your personal preferences and your choice of contractor. Therefore, here are a few things you can do to save money on your home renovation:

● Get multiple quotes from different contractors.
● Choose less expensive materials.
● Do some of the work yourself.
● Spread out the cost of the renovation over time.

Here are some additional tips for saving money on home renovations:

● Shop around for materials and labour. Get quotes from several different suppliers and
contractors before making a decision.
● Use recycled materials whenever possible. This can save you money on the cost of
materials and help the environment at the same time.
● Do some of the work yourself. If you’re handy, you can cut your costs by a landslide
through some DIYs such as painting, tiling, and installing flooring.
● Consider a smaller renovation. If you’re on a tight budget, you may want to consider a
smaller renovation that doesn’t involve major changes, such as a new paint job or new
flooring

Planning a budget for a new home in Malaysia is an important step in the home-buying process. It helps you determine how much you can afford to spend on a home and ensures that you don’t overspend or end up in debt. Here are some tips to help you blueprint your budget when buying a new home!

Determine And Calculate Your Income

The first step in planning a new home’s budget is determining your income. This includes your salary, bonuses, and any other sources of income. It directly affects the amount of your mortgage loan you’re able to receive. For example, if your monthly income is RM5,000, you can use this as a starting point for your budget. The next step is to calculate your expenses. This includes your monthly bills, such as rent, utilities, debt and groceries. For example, if your monthly expenses are RM3,000, you can subtract this from your income to determine how much you have left for a mortgage payment.

Decide Your Future Property

For first-time homebuyers, the are multiple affordable housing schemes offered in the current market based on government policies and initiatives as an encouragement to increase property buying. Consider the location, size, and type of property you want to buy and make sure you are in contact with an experienced and reliable developer

Figure Out Your Down Payment

The down payment is the amount of money you need to put down upfront when buying a home. In Malaysia, the down payment is typically 10% to 20% of the purchase price. For example, if you’re buying a home for RM500,000, you’ll need a down payment of RM50,000 to RM100,000.

CalculateYour Mortgage Payment

Once you’ve determined your down payment, you can calculate your mortgage payment. This includes the principal, interest, taxes, and insurance. For example, if you’re taking out an RM400,000 mortgage with a 4% interest rate over 30 years, your monthly payment would be around RM1,900

Consider Other Expenses and Monthly Instalments

In addition to your mortgage payment, there are other expenses to consider, such as closing costs, home insurance, and maintenance costs. For example, if your closing costs are RM10,000 and your home insurance is RM1,000 per year, you’ll need to factor these into your budget.

Unless you are financially able to purchase your new home straight off the bat, you should consider taking out loans or other financial institutions that could aid in paying for your home. By following these steps, you can create a realistic budget for your new home in Malaysia.

It’s important to remember that your budget should be flexible and allow for unexpected expenses. With a solid budget in place, you can confidently shop for a home that fits your financial situation!

Modern Home Design Ideas

Modern home design feeds on the desire for simplicity, functionality, and a sense of calm. It has led many homeowners to empire modern home design. Characterised by its clean line, minimalist aesthetics, and a focus on essential elements, modern design offers a refreshing departure from traditional styles.

By incorporating clean lines, geometric shapes, bold accent colours, and open concept living space, you can create a contemporary and visually striking atmosphere that transforms your home into a modern oasis.

Using Clean Lines and Geometric Shapes

Clean lines and geometric shapes are fundamental aspects of modern home design. Embrace simplicity by incorporating straight lines and angular forms into your interior and architectural elements. Opt for furniture with sleek profiles and sharp edges, such as angular sofas, streamlined dining tables, or minimalist lighting fixtures.

These clean lines and geometric shapes create a sense of order and sophistication in your space, enhancing overall modern aesthetics In addition to furniture and fixtures, architectural features also embrace clean lines and geometric shapes.

Consider incorporating elements like linear staircases, glass partitions, crisp rectangular windows. These design choices create a cohesive and visually pleasing environment that defines the modern style.

Incorporating Bold Accent Colours

While modern design typically favours a neutral colour palette, adding bold accent colours can infuse vibrancy and personality into your space. Choose one or two vibrant hues to serve as focal points within the overall design scheme. Introduce these colours through accessories, artwork, or even feature walls.

For example, a striking accent colour like electric blue, vibrant yellow, or deep red can create a powerful visual impact and add energy to an otherwise understated room When incorporating bold accent colours, it’s important to maintain balance and harmony.

Use them strategically to draw attention to specific areas or elements, such as eye-catching artwork. Consider the psychology of colours and their impact on mood and ambience to ensure the choice of accent colours align with the desired atmosphere of each space.

Creating an Open-Concept Living Space

An open-concept floor plan is a hall-makr of modern design, emphasising a sense of spaciousness and connectivity. This design concept involves removing or minimising walls to create a seamless flow between the living, dining, and kitchen areas.

By eliminating barriers, you enhance natural light distribution and encourage social interaction among family members and guests. To create an open-concept living space, consider employing design techniques that foster cohesion while defining individual zones. Use consistent flooring materials, colour schemes, or ceiling treatments throughout the open area to maintain a unified visual appeal.

Utilise furniture placement, area rugs, or decorative screens to delineate different functional areas while preserving the sense of openness. By incorporating clean lines, geometric shapes, bold accent colours, and open-concept living spaces, you can achieve a modern home design that is visually stunning, functional, and reflective of your personal style.

These design ideas promote simplicity, sophistication, and a sense of spaciousness. Embrace the principles of modern design and transform your home into a contemporary have that excited style and elegance.

Step into the embrace of timeless elegance as you journey through the world of traditional home design. Amidst a rapidly changing landscape, there is solace in capturing the enduring beauty and sophistication of the traditional style.

With its classic charm, traditional interiors have the power to transport you to a place of comfort and grace. If you yearn to infuse your home with a touch of traditional flair, allow us to guide you through some exquisite design ideas that will transform your space into a cosy and inviting haven.

From incorporating architectural details that exude craftsmanship to selecting rich colours and fabrics that envelop you in luxury, these tips will breathe life into your vision of a traditional home, enveloping it with warmth and timeless appeal.

Classic Architectural Details

When it comes to traditional home design, incorporating classic architectural details is key. These elements add a sense of grandeur and refinement to your living space. One such detail is crown moulding, which can be installed where the walls meet the ceiling.

Crown moulding not only visually enhances the height of a room but also adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. It provides a seamless transition between the walls and the ceiling, creating a cohesive and polished look. Another traditional architectural detail worth considering is wainscoting.

This panelling technique involves applying decorative wooden panels to the lower portion of the walls. Wainscoting not only adds visual interest and depth to a room but also exudes a sense of timeless charm. Whether you opt for raised panels, beadboard, or shaker-style wainscoting, this classic touch will infuse your space with character and elegance.

Rich Colours and Fabrics

Colours and fabrics play a pivotal role in traditional home design. To create a cosy and inviting atmosphere, opt for warm and rich hues. Deep reds, royal blues and earthy tones evoke a sense of comfort and luxury. Consider painting your walls with these shades or incorporating them through upholstery and draperies.

Richly coloured curtains or Roman sheas can frame your windows, adding a touch of drama and sophistication to the room. To further enhance the traditional aesthetic, choose fabrics that exude luxury and grandness. Velvet, silk, or brocade fabrics add texture and depth to your space.

Use them upholstery, throw pillows, and curtains to create a visually appealing and inviting ambience. These lavish fabrics not only provide comfort but also contribute to the overall elegance and richness of the traditional style.

Creating a Cosy and Inviting Atmosphere

One of the defining characteristics of traditional home design is the creation of a cosy and inviting atmosphere. To achieve this, focus on selecting furniture pieces that are both comfortable and visually pleasing. Invest in a well-crafted sofa with classic lines and soft upholstery, inviting you to relax and unwind.

Complement the seating area with elegant armchairs and a coffee table that exudes timeless appeal. These carefully chosen pieces will create a harmonious and inviting space for you and your guests. To enhance the cosy ambience, lighting is crucial. Incorporate soft lighting using a combination of table lamps, floor lamps, and chandeliers.

Layer the lighting to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Soft, warm-toned light bulbs emit a gentle glow, creating a soothing environment that encourages relaxation and conversation. Combine this with natural light streaming through well-dressed windows to achieve the perfect balance of cosiness and brightness.

Traditional home design offers a timeless choice that brings an air of elegance and sophistication to any living space. By incorporating classic architectural details like crown moulding and wainscoting, choosing rich colours and lavish fabrics, and creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere, you can transform your home into a haven of traditional charm.

These design ideas not only create visually appealing spaces but also provide a warm and inviting environment for you and your loved ones. Embrace the allure of tradition and let your home reflect your timeless taste.

3 DIY Home Improvement Ideas

Home improvement projects can be a great way to add value to your home and make it more comfortable and functional. However, hiring a professional to do the work can be expensive.

Fortunately, there are many DIY home improvement projects that you can do yourself, even if you have little or no experience at all. In this article, we will discuss three popular DIY home improvement ideas: installing a new light fixture, painting your kitchen cabinets, and creating a gallery wall

Installing a New Light Fixture

Lightings are one of, if not the most important features in a room. Installing a new light fixture can be a great way to update the look of a room and improve its functionality. Whether you want to add more light to a dark room or replace an outdated fixture, this project is relatively easy to do yourself.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Turn off the power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.

2. Remove the old fixture by unscrewing the mounting bracket and disconnecting the wires.

3. Install the new mounting bracket and attach the wires to the new fixture.

4. Attach the fixture to the mounting bracket and turn the power back on.

When choosing a new light fixture, consider the style of your room and the amount of light you need. You can find a wide variety of fixtures at home improvement stores, from modern to traditional, and at a range of prices.

Painting Your Kitchen Cabinets

Plenty of furniture can become the focal point of a kitchen—including your cabinets. Tired of your kitchen cabinets look? Does it feel dull or outdated? If so, painting them can be a cost-effective way to give them a fresh new look!

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Remove the cabinet doors and hardware.

2. Clean the cabinets thoroughly with a degreaser.

3. Sand the cabinets lightly to rough up the surface.

4. Apply a coat of primer to the cabinets.

5. Apply two coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next.

6. Reattach the doors and hardware.

When choosing a paint colour, consider the style of your kitchen and the colours of your countertops and backsplash.  You can also spice it up by painting the cabinets a different colour than the walls to give them a stark contrast or adding a glaze to the finish.

Creating a Gallery Wall

A gallery wall is an excellent way to improve a room. It shows your personality and exudes a sense of warmth that only a cosy home can give. Whether you want to display family photos, artwork, or a collection of objects, this project is easy to do yourself.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Choose a wall to create your gallery.

2. Gather your artwork or objects and arrange them on the floor until you are happy with the layout.

3. Trace each object onto a piece of paper and cut it out.

4. Tape the paper cutouts to the wall in the same layout as on the floor.

5. Hammer nails or use picture hangers to hang each object on the wall.

Displaying your artwork traditionally with picture frames will also give a classic look if you play with the right arrangements. When creating a gallery wall, consider the size and shape of your objects and the overall colour scheme of your room.

You can also add interest by mixing different types of objects, such as photographs, artwork, and decorative objects.

Tips On Buying A New House In Malaysia!
Godeco

Are you newlyweds? Successful? Learning to be Independent? Or simply looking for a new roof to stay in? If you’re eager to buy a new house in Malaysia (Read: first-home buyers) but don’t know where to start, here are a few tips to aid you in the process of choosing your dream home!

Plan Your Budget

Always be aware and plan a reasonable budget before you begin your house-searching ventures. Furthermore, you must never forget to factor in your down payments when purchasing a property. For first-timers, 10% of the total cost of the property must be paid upfront while the remaining payment can be done through bank loans.

E.g. If your target home is estimated to cost around RM600,000 then you must pay RM60,000 upfront as a down payment. Keep in mind that upfront costs do not only amount to down payments, there are also additional costs like stamp duties, real estate agent fees and other legal fees.

You should also be on the lookout for housing schemes that are catered to first-time housebuyers and see which one can be approved according to your financial status!

Do Proper Research On Your New Property

One of the most important factors to consider in choosing your new property is location! If you’re feeling confused about where to start your research, this is where real estate agents step in to guide you all the way. These skilled professionals are familiar with the marketplaces, the track record of the developers, and the complexities of legal documentation.

You can take this opportunity to enquire important questions to the agents, especially regarding the condition of the property, the appliances incorporated and the surrounding neighbourhood. Alas, when you have found the property you like, do a cost comparison with other similar properties to make sure you don’t overpay for similar projects that might give you more valuable benefits for your money.

Get A Lawyer

As it is probably your first time purchasing a house, you should always be as transparent and knowledgeable as possible to make sure you don’t run into miscellaneous conflicts along the way.

It is encouraged for you to employ a real estate lawyer who specialises in all the legal jargon involved in your contracts to make sure you understand what you’re signing yourself up for.

Letter of Intent to Purchase and Signing Documents

Now that you’re content with the property of your choice, convey your intentions to the developer through a Letter of Intent to Purchase. It is a letter expressing your intent to buy a specific piece of property. Next, don’t forget to sign the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).

The SPA is a crucial legal document that details all of your purchase’s terms and conditions.

After securing your finance, review your Loan Agreement and Memorandum of Transfer (MOT) carefully before signing them. All these legal documents are what prompt the use of lawyers so every procedure of document signings will go on smoothly.

Pay Your Costs And Receive Vacant Possession

After signing the SPA, you can now pay the balance of the purchase price according to the payment schedule outlined in the SPA. These include the relevant stamping fees and legal fees acquired throughout your process of obtaining the property. The Notice of Vacant Possession must be completed within a certain timeframe after signing the SPA for a new property.

It’s important to perform a detailed check for any defects or issues during the defect liability period, where the developer is legally bound to repair any faulty workmanship at no cost to the buyer. This precedes the Certificate of Completion and Compliance—which is a legally required document that confirms the property is safe and fit for human habitation.

Bathroom Renovation Ideas
Godeco

Bathrooms are simply the crown jewel of your house, your comfort space, your start and end of the day. Is your bathroom getting mouldy? Do you have many sanitary products but have little space to store them? Do you feel like upgrading your bathroom after staring at the same old boring tiles every day? Here are a few bathroom renovation ideas that will help you put a proper footing in beautifying your bathroom!

Adding A Double Vanity

A double vanity is a great way to add extra storage and counter space to your bathroom. This can be especially helpful if you have a family or if you share your bathroom with others. Double vanities can also be a great way to create a more luxurious and spacious feel in your bathroom.

When choosing a double vanity, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, consider the size of your bathroom. A large double vanity can take up a lot of space, so make sure you have enough room to accommodate it.

For instance, a curved, wall-mounted double vanity is suitable if you have a small bathroom or simply want to maximise bathroom storage. Furthermore, it is much safer than the boxy and sharp corners of a basic vanity. Next, think about the style of your bathroom.

Do you want a traditional or modern vanity? Your vanity can be the focal point of the bathroom depending on how much it contrasts with the overall look of your comfort space.

Installing A New Shower Or Bathtub

Installing a new shower might just enhance and elevate your showering experience to a whole new level! We recommend switching to therapeutic showers so you can feel relaxed and refreshed after a long day at work or if you just feel like cleaning up. Some of the popular types of shower heads include rainfall, high-pressure, and panel shower heads.

Meanwhile, if you have an additional budget, you could also opt for a new bathtub! Not only can you enjoy a relaxing and warm bubble bath, but bathing your small children can also no longer be a hassle! A cast-iron tub is the most long-lasting and durable bathtub you can buy that will be worth its price.

Besides, changing your showers or tubs can make your bathroom look more luxurious and stylish as it gives a breath of fresh air to the old look.

Change The Flooring

Flooring is one of the first things people notice when they walk into the bathroom. Since the nature of a bathroom is usually wet due to water spillage from your shower, the sink, or even the toilet hose, it will stain and penetrate the surface of your floor and make it grow moulds or leave a few cracks here and there.

So If you’re planning a bathroom renovation, deciding what type of flooring to install is one of the most vital choices you need to make. One of the best options to consider is to install waterproof flooring!

Waterproof flooring is synonymously known to be impermeable to water and moisture, which prevents mould and mildew development. Some of the popular waterproof flooring options would be ceramic or natural stone tile or waterproof vinyl flooring.

The catch is waterproof flooring may be slippery as it does not absorb water, so choose your flooring carefully.

With the increase in temperature due to the rise in global warming, it is impossible for you not to crank up your air conditioning to cope with the sweltering heat. Not only will air conditioning increase your monthly electricity bills, but it will also thin the ozone layers and allow UV radiation to pass through due to the release of CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons). However, there are other alternatives to reduce the heat coming out from your walls without having to turn on the AC. Here are a few ways to keep your house cool with scientific explanations to back them up!

Prioritise Ventilation and Shading

Keeping the windows open is a common method to get the hot air out of the house—though, the outside air is just as hot as it is inside. Therefore, the windows should be open at essential times when the air is cool to allow proper cross ventilation, such as from 6-9 AM and 8-10 PM.

Other than that, the windows should also be strategically placed for better shading. Since we live in a tropical climate, exterior horizontal shade, such as overhangs and louvres, is quite effective. Furthermore, external shutters that are commonly seen on old buildings in Europe are ideal.

Choose The Right Paint and Glazes

Kitchen cabinets can make a big statement in the room. If your current cabinets are outdated or in need of repair, upgrading them can be a great way to update the look of your kitchen. There are a few different ways to upgrade your kitchen cabinets.

You can paint them, stain them, or replace them altogether. One of the cheapest and quickest alternatives would be to swap out the knobs and pulls of your cabinets! Pick the trendy options and make sure you match the width of your new knobs or pulls to the old ones to avoid any paint scrapping off when you’re installing them.

If you choose to paint or stain your cabinets, be sure to choose a colour that complements the rest of your kitchen décor— a seamless look or a contrast of colours with the walls would be the basic go-to for a renovation idea! If you’re replacing your cabinets, there are a variety of materials to choose from, including wood, laminate, and melamine.

Consider The Materials For The Building

If you want to reduce as much heat inside the house as possible, consider building your house through materials such as stone, bricks, concrete, or those buried in the ground. The large “thermal mass” induced by these materials has the ability to make the building feel cooler by slowly absorbing and releasing heat. This evens out the temperature over time, by turning daytime cooler and nighttime warmer.

Use Natural Fabrics

Textiles and bedding are one of the most crucial factors you need to consider when you want to stay cool all day as it comes in contact with your whole body for optimum comfort. Shiny and luxurious-looking textiles like silk, satin, leather and even polyester should be avoided because although they elevate your interior, they are prime examples of good heat absorbers. Instead, go for light, airy and breathable fabrics like classic cotton or linen upholstery. With proper airflow and ventilation from said fabrics, you’ll be sinking into optimum comfort without feeling sticky and hot even when you’re sweaty.

Grow Some Plants Inside

It isn’t taboo knowledge that plants are a great option to cool down your house due to the fact that they absorb carbon dioxide while releasing oxygen into the air. Shady plants that are strategically placed in the edges or corners of your house can help block out the sun rays from entering through the windows. Aloe vera and ferns are also good choices to buy as they are able to absorb the toxins hanging in the air. Aside from that, placing vines or creepers on the balcony grills will help keep the house cooler.

Having the freedom and luxury to redo or enhance your own space is a privilege like no other! But first and foremost, you must set up a budget and know exactly the type of makeover you wish to do. Interior design trends are constantly evolving from time to time, and what is popular one year may not be popular the next. However, there are some trends for you to look out for that seem to withstand the test of time.

Incorporate Natural Materials into Your Home Decor

One of the biggest interior design trends is incorporating natural materials into your home decor. Natural looks are irresistibly timeless! This can be done in a variety of ways, such as using wood furniture, stone countertops, or even natural textiles. Natural materials add a touch of warmth and sophistication to any space, and they can help to create a more relaxing and inviting atmosphere.

Some of the most popular natural materials for home decor include:

– Wood: Wood is a versatile material that can be used in a variety of ways in your home. It can be used for furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and more. Wood adds a touch of warmth and natural beauty to any space.

– Stone: Stone is another popular natural material for home decor. It can be used for countertops, flooring, fireplaces, and more. Stone exudes a luxurious and elegant mood to your home, especially in the living room or kitchen.

– Textiles: Textiles made from natural materials, such as cotton, linen, and wool, are a great way to keep you cool down and give texture to your home decor. They can be used for curtains, rugs, pillows, and more.

Use Bold Patterns and Prints in Your Design Scheme

Another trend is using bold patterns and prints in your design scheme. This can be a great way to add personality and visual interest to your space, making them the focal point of your room. However, it’s important to use bold patterns and prints in moderation, as too much can be overwhelming.

Some tips for using bold patterns and prints in your home decor include:

– Choose a focal point for the room and use bold patterns and prints to highlight it. For example, you could paint one wall a bold colour or use a patterned wallpaper.

– Apply bold patterns and prints in smaller doses, such as on accessories or throw pillows.

 – Mix and match different patterns and prints to create a more eclectic look such as a Nordic and Bohemian mix.

– Stick to a colour palette when using bold patterns and prints. This will help to create a more cohesive look

Embrace Minimalist Design

Minimalist concepts have been a consistent trend in interior design for the past decade until now. This style is all about simplicity and clean lines to calm the eyes and bask in the aesthetics. It can be a great way to create a more relaxing and uncluttered space.

Some tips for embracing minimalist design include:

– Declutter your space and get rid of anything that you don’t use or love.

– Choose furniture and accessories with clean lines and simple designs.

– Use neutral, plain colours and avoid patterns.

– Focus on creating a sense of peace and tranquillity in your space.

By following these trends, you can create a stylish and inviting home that is perfect for you! Here are some additional tips for incorporating these trends into your home decor:

– When incorporating natural materials, be sure to choose materials that are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

– When using bold patterns and prints, be sure to choose patterns that you love and that will complement the overall style of your home.

– If you’re embracing minimalist design, be sure to take your time and declutter your space gradually. Don’t try to do it all at once.
